The origin story of the Farm Boy Drive-In:

In 1960 on Rt. 5 in St. Johnsbury Vermont, Bill and Annette Comstock started a seasonal take-out stop named “Comstock’s”. Beloved by the locals for a decade, the business was acquired and expanded in 1970 by Raymond and Sally Cloutier. It then became a full scale restaurant, focused on delicious fried chicken, hamburgers, sea food, daily specials, pies, and onion rings.

Raymond (my grandfather) was a “Chef” by all definitions. No shortcuts, just food made fresh with love, and high quality ingredients. All from scratch, all with the goal of making folks very happy.

The Cloutier family owned and operated the restaurant for 24 years, until 1994.

Kicking food back to a simpler and more affordable time, here we are- Ready to make YOU some delicious food.
